Tech stack: Event

Product Overview:

Event is a comprehensive cloud-based Transportation Management System designed to simplify, optimize, and streamline transportation logistics for businesses of all sizes. It enables efficient planning, execution, and optimization of the physical movement of goods, both incoming and outgoing, and ensures effective communication between all parties involved in the transportation process.

Platform/Operating System Compatibility:

Event operates on Windows and MacOS and some of its products are also compatible with mobile devices running on iOS, Android.

Software Architecture:

The software is built on a Microservices Architecture Pattern as it provides us with robust, scalable, and reliable performance. Microservices are developed using the single concern design pattern, meaning that a microservice is developed to do just one thing and one thing only.

Programming Languages and Frameworks:

C# .Net Core (backend logic),

Angular framework (web front end),

React framework (mobile),

Integration:

Our TMS integrates seamlessly with many popular ERP and WMS solutions. Event supports standard API integrations for extending functionality and data exchange.
We designed OASIS (our Event Dynamic Core) as a standard and flexible integration product that our customers use to speed up integration.
OpenAPI (restful api's, moving towards GraphQL). Managed through Azure API Management
CONNECT API for carrier integration.
Multiple carrier integrations, including Easypost, 4kites

Database Technology:

In Event we utilize both SQL and NoSQL databases, we take an architectural decision when developing a microservice. SQL databases are better for structured data, we use NoSQL for fast access to large semi structured data sets.
Event utilizes  Cosmodb for efficient data storage and retrieval, as it gives us fast and reliable access to critical transportation data.
We are full GDPR compliant
We have ISO 27001, 9001
Event is a multi-region, multi-tenant database – sharded with elastic SQL.

Security Measures:

We prioritize data security; hence we have implemented advanced security measures, including Darktrace.
We use the Microsoft Azure platform and the security it provides.
We are full GDPR compliant.
We have ISO 27001
We are PEN tested yearly.
We also include MFA and SSO functionality.

Scalability and Performance:

Our TMS is designed to scale effortlessly with business needs. It can handle increased data volume and user load, providing consistent performance and response times even under peak load conditions.
It was designed for rapid deployment.
We deal with extremes of live 24hr VOR multi line parcel labelling customers to on-demand mid-market multi carrier selection with live marketplace and connected services through FMG 'always on' sequenced integrations.

User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX):

Event has been designed with the automation and the user in mind. It has a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate, reducing the implementation time and cost by lowering the learning curve for new users. The intuitive design and workflow ensure a seamless user experience.

Maintenance and Updates:

We provide regular software updates to ensure the TMS stays up to date with the latest industry requirements and security protocols. We have a dedicated 1st line Knowledge Center and 2nd support team is always ready to assist with any issues or queries.
We have a product roadmap.
Users are updated through our knowledge Center website on new releases and features.
Regular seminars are help on how to get the best from these new features.
Any maintenance or service updates are notified through our Status page.
