3T YARD MANAGEMENT
A yard management system (YMS) is a software system designed to oversee the movement of units and trailers in the yard of a manufacturing facility, warehouse, or distribution centre.
The Reservation GO.Kiosk is a product designed to create a fully self-service environment for entrance in and out of a customers YARD function. It includes an application designed for a touch screen monitor, hosted in the cloud that can be fitted to a specialised all weather kiosk or on a desk stand. It is integrated into our DOCK or YARD control applications providing control of arrivals and departures even in situations where there is no physical gatehouse.
The GO.Kiosk DOCK is a product designed for use by the goods
in and despatch teams. It is designed to provide each DOCK
door a constant feed of work, providing instruction on what
needs to be actioned, when it needs to be started and finished
and how the DOCK hand needs to process the movement.
It is only for the DOCK door in question and being on a tablet
is located actually on the side of each DOCK door, talking
directly to the DOCK and YARD applications.
THE YARD VIEWER
The YARD Viewer is the application used by the Shift Manger
with responsibility for YARD Control. It is integrated with the
YARD Assigner and updated with any trailer movements in
real time. It provides over ride functions to support the
GO.Kiosk applications, make manual movements, confirm
the status and time in Yard of each trailer, parking bay and
DOCK door. It also enables partner carriers access into the
YARD to check on the status of their trailers, do yard checks
and allocate trailers to units for collection.
THE YARD ASSIGNER
The YARD Assigner is the engine that powers YARD control. Its an optimisation process that is fed with data from the reservation GO.Kiosk, shunter GO.Kiosk, dock GO.Kiosk and the YARD Rules Manager outputting an optimised series of movements within the YARD. ITS ALL ABOUT THE SENSORS
How do we track the trailers in the YARD and how do we know where they are at any time? We implement a Internet of Things (IoT) wireless mesh network. This solution delivers a scalable cloud-based solution that uses an extensive IoT sensor network that does not require communication or power wiring and that can provide real-time occupancy information on parking and DOCK door spaces, keeping track of the time a trailer is parked in that location. As the sensors capture the information it is shared in real-time via our web API.
